Published Opinions & Precedent
Appellate advocacy is measured not only by outcomes but by the quality of the arguments put before the court. Since 2017, the arguments Attorney James has advanced on behalf of his clients in difficult cases have resulted in nine published opinions — decisions that set binding precedent in the Pennsylvania Superior Court, the Commonwealth Court, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Two were decided by full en banc panels. Several resolved questions of first impression. Each reflects the kind of careful, record-grounded advocacy that appellate courts reward.
